Wood

Just as no two trees are alike, each piece of furniture will have unique natural markings. Variations such as mineral streaks, grain patterns, knots, and small pits are normal in fine wood and are not defects, even within the same set. Some items are intentionally distressed to create an aged look using techniques like denting, staining, scratching, or rubbing materials into the wood. These design features are determined by the manufacturer and cannot be altered or removed.

How to care and what to expect

Reclaimed Wood Expectations

Most pieces are handcrafted from reclaimed wood, showcasing natural knots, cracks, holes, and imperfections from their previous use—these are expected and add character, not defects. Color, texture, and finish will vary, with many items left natural or lightly waxed, and some stained or aged for appearance. Clean spills, like red wine, immediately by blotting with a dry cloth to prevent staining.
